The physicians and staff at TRA have served our community since 1943. We aim to set the standard of excellence in radiology and excellence in service.
Excellence in radiology means direct access to a full spectrum of board certified, subspecialty and fellowship trained radiologists, state-of-the-art technology, certified technologists, educated staff and skilled administrators.
Excellence in service means respect for and responsiveness to the needs of each individual with concern for comfort, privacy, clarity and convenience.
TRA’s board certified radiology physicians currently serve TRA’s outpatient imaging centers as well as Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, St. Clare Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center, and Tacoma General Hospital. All TRA outpatient locations are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Located in Tacoma, Union Avenue Open MRI is a partnership between TRA Medical Imaging, Franciscan Health System, MultiCare Health System, Medical Imaging Northwest.
Located in Federal Way, Medical Imaging on 1st is a partnership between TRA Medical Imaging and Franciscan Health System.
TRA Medical Imaging is a proud sponsor of many community events in Pierce and Thurston counties. Relay for Life in Tacoma, Lakewood, Olympia and Gig Harbor; Sound to Narrows; Festival of Trees; Puttin on the Pink; Pink Zone at University of Puget Sound; Memory Walk and the Gig Harbor Health & Safety Expo are some of the many events we participate in. In addition, there are many health fairs and wellness clinics that are attended and/or supported by TRA Medical Imaging. We look forward to our participation in these important community events each year. In addition, TRA is a member of the Tacoma, Lakewood and Gig Harbor-Key Peninsula Chamber of Commerce organizations throughout the region.
